What describes a diode junction that is forward biased?
What describes a diode junction that is forward biased?
It is a low impedance.
For additional information, please see PV Education site for the article Bias of PN Junctions, especially paragraph on Diodes under Forward Bias.
Also, a great overview of diodes is at Electroniclinic site, in the article
Semiconductor Diodes and its Types
See Resources PCB Cadence article on Forward Bias vs. Reverse Bias and their Effects on Diode Functionality

What is the piezoelectric effect?
What is the piezoelectric effect?
Mechanical vibration of a crystal by the application of a voltage.
Some materials, when between two metal plates, and under mechanical pressure do produce electrical charge. It is used to change electrical audio vibration signals to sound waves.
Please see Wikipedia's articles on Piezoelectricity Crystal oscillator
And, please see Electronic Design site for the article What is the Piezoelectric Effect?
