CANDIDATES PLEASE BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS: $10 Cash, Exam Fee. EXACT CHANGE PREFERRED, COLLECTED ON DAY OF EXAM. A government photo ID (driver's license, military ID or passport) Please bring pencil/eraser.

Exam fees are waived for minors 18 years and under, students with a current ID, active military, veterans or GLAARG VEs upgrading to Extra. WAIVER FORM MUST BE SUBMITTED TO OBTAIN WAIVER. All others are $10 cash on day of exam. All classes of exams offered in this order: Technician, General, Amateur Extra. Please make sure that you study for the correct exam. Make sure you're ready to pass the exam. Use Hamstudy.org to study, and then when you are regularly scoring about 85%, you are ready for your exam. This session is for the exam only and not a prep course. You can take more than one exam per session. Please study for that element at least to the point where you score 80% or higher on practice tests. Retests offered at the discretion of the Volunteer Examiners for an additional $10 fee.

All exam communications will be sent to the email you used to register. If you are under 13 years of age, you may not register for any exam session until your parent or guardian has filled out our Coppa Parental Consent Form and emailed it to coppa@examtools.org. You will need a FRN. If you don't have one you can create one during registration for the session.

Once you pass your exam and your license application is submitted you will receive an email from the FCC instructing you to pay a $35 fee on their online portal. Once you have completed that step your license will usually appear in the database the next morning. Those upgrading an existing license will not be charged the fee. You will have 10 days to log onto the ULS and pay the fee, or have your license declined. The FCC fee will be in addition to the GLAARG fees.
