The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has changed the way new amateur radio applicants register for an FCC Registration Number (FRN). New applicants, without a FRN, need to first create an FCC User ID and be assigned an FRN, before taking their examination. For a video tutorial click this link --> https://www.fcc.gov/rofrn

Additionally, the FCC now charges an additional fee that will need to be paid directly to them. They will email a link with directions once they receive your exam results. If you are testing for Technician Class, please register with the FCC before the test session, and bring your FRN. If you are testing to upgrade your license, please bring a copy of your current license.
