FREE amateur radio license exams for all levels of license (Technician Class, General Class, and Amateur Extra Class). You may take more than one test at the session.

Effective April 19, 2022, the FCC began charging a Congress-mandated license fee of $35 for amateur radio licenses. You will pay this fee directly to the FCC after you pass your tests with us. As always, we do not charge for our tests.

Pre-registration is strongly suggested but not required for tests at this location in Ladson.

Arrive inside the testing room by 8:55am. No time limit.

Please bring with you the following things:

• Government-issued photo ID

• A simple calculator with the memory cleared if you wish to use one (optional, but note that cell phones, tablets, and smart watches may not be used during the test)

• Your FRN
