Notes from the team:

GLAARG VEC has different requirements for online exams than other VECs - for example, in most cases we only require one camera, we allow testing for multiple levels in one session, and we use breakout rooms to test multiple applicants simultaneously. Read more about our online exmas here: https://glaarg.org/remote-sessions-faqs/

Make sure you're ready to pass the exam (self study) here: https://noji.com/hamradio/study.php#recommended_study_method

Also, it's a good idea to just read all the questions once, at "reading speed" without trying to learn the answers. And you don't need to understand the questions and answers to get your license - you'll have plenty of time to understand the subject matter after you're on the air. You can just read all the answers here: https://hamstudy.org/browse/E2_2018/T1A Read all of T1A, then go to T1B, and so on until you've read all sub-elements.

The "flash cards" are unique in that there are options to see an explanation - if the upper right corner is "turned down" you can click there to "flip over" the card to see an explanation. In some modes, if you click, "I don't know" it will show you the correct answer and offer an option to see an explanation.

When you register on hamstudy.org with an email address, you can see a bar-chart with your progress, the number of Seen, and your Aptitude for each sub-element. Strive for 100% seen and 85% Aptitude before moving on to the next sub-element. Avooid the temptation to start taking practice exams until you've completed this for all 10 sub-elements.

Please sign up only when you are sure you will pass the exam. We assign four examiners to each examinee and we have multiple examinees in a session - we are all volunteers, so we really don't have time for applicants who are just trying to pass - you can try with practice exams before signing up for a session.

You will be invoiced for the exam fee after you register for the exam. You must provide your email address and you must have an FCC Registration Number (FRN) in order to take the exam.
